We're Paul and Fiona Turrell-Church, and like many families, we stumbled into campervanning almost by accident. What started as a practical way to explore the UK with our two daughters and our four-legged family member quickly became something much more special. After years of cramming ourselves into tiny tents in driving rain (we've all been there!), we discovered that a well-kitted campervan wasn't just transport and accommodation rolled into one – it was freedom on wheels. We could chase the sunset along Cornwall's coast, wake up to mountain views in Snowdonia, or simply park up by a quiet lake and watch our daughters feed the ducks while we enjoyed a proper cup of tea.
The more we travelled, the more we realised that campervanning in the UK isn't just a holiday – it's like having a master key to the country's best-kept secrets. Those hidden beaches you can only reach down narrow coastal lanes, the pub car parks where you're welcomed like old friends, the spontaneous detours that become the highlight of your trip. We've spent countless hours perfecting our packing lists, discovering which gear actually works (spoiler: most of it doesn't), and learning that the difference between a good trip and a magical one often comes down to having the right kit and knowing where to go. But we also know that for many people, the thought of organising all this can feel like preparing for an expedition to Base Camp.
That's exactly why we launched Vespera Holidays. Think of us as your campervanning fairy godparents – we've done all the trial and error so you don't have to. Every van comes loaded with everything we've learned works brilliantly, from the perfect coffee setup to the camping chairs that won't collapse when your uncle sits down. We plan your route using all our insider knowledge of where to find the most stunning wild camping spots and which farm shops do the best bacon sandwiches. Essentially, we're giving you the keys to the same incredible adventures we've been having for years, but without any of the faff. Because life's too short for bad holidays, and Britain's too beautiful not to explore properly.
